Tri City Raceway Park near Franklin, Pennsylvania is always the scene of high-powered racing action and top notch motor sports in the northwest Pennsylvania area and now another type of screaming engine excitement is coming back to the race track. The speedway that is well known for high impact side-by-side stock car racing will host another USA-EAST Sanctioned Regional truck pull on Saturday, September 30. This will be an evening event (6:30pm) at the Venango County oval.

The highlight of the program will be three USA-EAST Sanctioned divisions that will be running for the final time in 2017. These ground pounding pulling units will be going after their last chance to collect points in their respective series. The Limited Pro and Super Farm Tractors will return to Tri City for their final hook of the 2017 season. These high-powered Diesel tractors put on a great show and are sponsored by Wimer Fuel Injection and Turbo of Sandy Lake, PA and by American Crop Insurance. Super Street GAS 4×4 Trucks with up to 540 cubic inches of big block power will bring their awesome power to Tri City on Saturday night. And the incredible Hot Rod V-8 Modified Tractors are coming to the Raceway for their final event of the USA-EAST Season. Each of these classes are ‘too close to call’ and the champion will be decided at Tri City.

Two other top rated classes will join the pull at Tri City and each has some distinct local flavor to add to the mix of power and excitement. The Warren Diesel Injection sponsored 2.6 Diesel 4×4 class is one of those classes with pullers from Mercer and Crawford County expected to vie for the top spots. One of the favorites will be Jesse Warren and his “Week-End Warrior” Ford from Guys Mills.

And the awesome ‘Run What Ya Brung’ Trucks will also be at Tri City on September 30 th. Eddie Zedreck from Chicora, Pennsylvania leads the point race with a full blown 496 Chevrolet named “Thunder”. This class is sponsored by CPP Diesel of East Millsboro, PA. A local favorite is the turbo-charged diesel of Zane O’Shurek from Meadville, PA.

There will also be a class for street driven and street licensed Diesel 4×4 Trucks using the 2017 rules for the Triple Crown Series. This class is open to all local drivers with registration and current inspection required for entry. A purse will be paid to this class at Tri City Raceway Park.
